Ace Cafe- #Petrolheads

The original Ace Cafe opened in 1938 as a transport cafe to truck and lorry drivers but quickly became a popular place where motorbike riders gathered and listened to rock and roll music. After closing in 1969 it was but a fond memory living in the hearts of enthusiasts until Mark Wilsmore decided to do something about it. On the 25th anniversary of its closing, he decided to host an Ace Cafe reunion which drew a crowd of 12 000 people. Determined to save the heritage of the Ace Cafe, Mark managed to secure the original site and what started as a Sunday meet up with a burger van has grown and become a #Petrolheads paradise where a plethora of car and motorbike events are hosted on a weekly basis.
