Newport Pagnell has been Aston Martin’s spiritual home since 1955. It’s factory there wasn’t exactly an ideal site, with buildings on both sides of a busy main road, but logistical issues didn’t stop Aston building some of its greatest cars there.
Aston opened a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility at Gaydon in 2003, but Newport Pagnell continued turning out the Vanquish until it was discontinued in 2007.
The site has since become the home of Aston Martin Works, the service, restoration and heritage division, and a Mecca for Aston fans from across the world.
Tim and Jim made the pilgrimage to see what goes on at Newport Pagnell and to chat to the people who keep Aston Martin’s heritage alive.
