Conjure an image of a professional racing driver, and you’ll certainly picture a Formula 1 driver. But there are plenty of places outside the F1 paddock where it’s possible to make a decent living as a racing driver.
David Goode is one of those drivers who never reached F1 but has managed to spend most of his working life as a pro driver, both competing and instructing. He also runs The Race Hut, a venue where a dozen or more people can race each other on simulators.
