Louise Goodman – #Petrolheads

Louise Goodman is an award-winning TV presenter and journalist who has racked up quite a few “firsts” in the industry. She was the first woman to take part in an F1 pit-stop and as a ‘passenger’ in the first ever race of two-seater Formula One cars driven by F1 star Fernando Alonso. Although she has always had an interest in cars, she never envisioned her career would involve motorsport, this happened by chance. Louise’s first taste of the motoring world was when she became a press officer for Eddie Jordan and Tony Jardine. She also worked with several notable drivers, with fond memories of her time spent with Eddie Irvine and Rubens Barrichello. From there her career expanded and she was awarded multiple presenting opportunities for ITV, the British Touring Car Championship and Le Mans 24hr for channel 4.  She also dipped her toes into rally driving, wrote a book and even opened her own business. We caught up with this go-getter on this episode of #Petrolheads.
