Nick Baxter of the National Motor Museum

There are some people who absolutely love their job. They wake up in the morning and simply can’t wait to get to work. Nick Baxter, a guide at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, is one of those people.

Nick spends most of the year giving guided tours around the museum. During the summer months, they like to bring some of the cars out into the open to drive around the grounds, showing the public what they sound, smell and look like in motion.

Only a lucky few are chosen to drive the cars. Nick is one of them, with responsibility for a really rather lovely vintage Austin 12/4. And, boy, does he love his job!

Tim BC went to Beaulieu and talked to Nick about the joys of working with old cars.
