Artist and designer Robin Bark’s car sculptures use the minimum of detail to convey speed and motion. Cast in solid aluminium, the highly polished surfaces seem to change shape as they play the light and pick up reflections. They are weighty and tactile too, as much a pleasure to roll around in your hands as they are to look at. Without a plinth or stand, the pieces are left to speak for themselves and do so very articulately.
Robin also produces paintings in a variety of styles, inspired by his time as a poster designer.
Though Robin’s pieces are not exactly cheap, considering the amount of work that goes into them they are good value. Each one is signed and numbered, and comes in a wooden presentation box.
