The 30K Car Challenge

It was a simple brief for The 30k Car Challenge: find the best all-round car for £30,000.

Woody turned up in a Citroen DS4, which has very nice seats, apparently, and new presenter Tim BC brought along an optician’s Volvo V40 CrossCountry.

And Tall Tim? Well, he arrived in a chauffeur-driven Bentley Flying Spur, overshooting the budget by about £100,000. Though he had some excuse about paying the chaffeur 30 grand a year, and the car coming with him. It all sounded very shady…

The first challenge saw our intrepid trio head off to a McDonalds drive-thru, to see which car was easiest to negotiate around the surprisingly tight route past the windows.

Then they were dispatched to the wilds of Guildford, to visit the Wings and Wheels car and aeroplane show at Dunsfold. There they would have to interview as many people who were displaying their motors as possible.

Who came out on top in The £30k Car Challenge? Watch on…
